Must make professional, independent, reliable and reasonable recommendations and tips (using some company guidelines) to clients requesting personal image consults (all facets of fashion, make-up, beauty products, hair, etc.). Personal shopping for clients and conducting wardrobe building and maintenance consultations. Ability to conduct in-person, telephonic and internet-based consultations. Superior communication and people skills required. Ability to effectively communicate in writing, in person and over the phone. Detail-oriented. Strong sense of style and style and fashion industry conscious. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects/clients with overlapping deadlines and schedules. May also require travel to and from meetings with clients in-person.
Education and Experience:
Should possess a minimum of 1-3 years experience (although 3-10 preferred) in the fashion, retail and/or beauty industry. Fashion retail experience is also acceptable. Ability to multi-task and work with a lot of different people with different personality types. Additionally, should be knowledgeable in the areas of apparel and accessories, color coordination, hair styling, make-up and overall image maintenance (including overall beauty care and products). Experience using the full Microsoft Suite (especially Word and Excel; PowerPoint skills also desired but not required).
Degree or technical training associated with the fashion/beauty industry is preferred but not required. Experience may be substituted for education. IC commission levels are commensurate with experience and education.
Certifications:
Certified Stylist/Image Consultant is preferred but not required. AICI affiliation or membership to any other well know association for stylists and image consultants also a plus.
Other Requirements:
Must have a cell phone, computer with internet access and access to personal transportation. While this posting is for professionals that style adults (including young adults), experience styling children and pets is a bonus!
